Manager, Development FinTech positions offered by Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (

PIMCO) (Newport Beach, California). Lead and manage a team of database developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Collaborate with Oracle (EPM/EDM) administrators to ensure seamless integration and functionality of financial systems. Act as a technical bridge between the Finance department and IT, facilitating effective communication and project execution. Oversee and manage projects aimed at both improving existing processes ("Run the Business") and implementing new initiatives ("Change the Business"). Utilize SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake databases to support financial data management and reporting needs. Ensure the effective use of Oracle and Workiva applications within the Finance department. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in database management and financial technology.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology, finance, or a related field and 6 years of experience using SQL Server Database in production support and deployments. In lieu of a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, information technology, finance or a related field and 6 years as stated, will accept a master's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 3 years of experience as stated. Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following: managing a small onshore or offshore development team; performing database development using ETL tools, and performance tuning; performing production support and deployments; using cloud databases including transactional and analytical; integrating data and building multi-dimensional reporting cubes using the Oracle Cloud EPM platform; working in one of the following corporate financial areas: accounting, planning & budgeting, and reporting hierarchies; and, working with Oracle Database. Must have 1 year of experience working with Snowflake Database. Position reports to Newport Beach, CA, but may telecommute from any location in the U.S. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
