This position will provide senior-level technical and strategic expertise to the Information Technology team on initiatives related to the college's enterprise systems, with a primary focus on the Ellucian Banner ERP platform. The Banner ERP Technical Advisor will serve as both a strategic advisor and hands-on technical resource for Banner-related initiatives. This role will collaborate with IT leadership and developers to guide the design, configuration, and optimization of Banner systems and integrations. The advisor will support major Banner initiatives including system upgrades, modernization efforts such as the transition from Banner 8 to Banner 9, data integrations, reporting improvements, and system configuration. Job Duties Include (but are not limited to) Provide strategic and technical guidance to the IT team regarding Ellucian Banner architecture, configuration, and best practices. Assist with planning and execution of Banner upgrades and modernization initiatives, including the transition from Banner 8 to Banner 9. Provide hands-on technical support and guidance related to Banner configuration, SQL development, data structures, and troubleshooting. Assist with SQL queries, data analysis, troubleshooting, and performance tuning related to Banner and associated systems. Provide guidance on Banner integrations, APIs, ETL processes, and data exchanges with other institutional systems. Review and advise on custom reports, database structures, and data integrity practices. Assist the IT team in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues within Banner and related applications. Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to internal staff related to Banner best practices and technical architecture. Participate in project planning sessions, system reviews, and technical design discussions. Perform other advisory or technical duties as assigned.
