Reporting to the Director of IT Service Delivery, the Senior IT Endpoint Consultant works closely with academic departments to ensure that complex lab equipment, laboratory PCs, and connected systems meet TCTC's operating and information security standards while delivering high-quality customer support services. Job Responsibilities but are not limited to: Build and maintain PC images to accommodate each specific academic's need across multiple compute environments Analyze the business need for each academic area Work with the academic department to create request for quotes (RFQ) Design and implement the technical environment using integrated and connected solutions Serve as the technical consultant to these academic departments, using the knowledge of existing IT services to provide the best solution Diagnose and repair complex IT issues related to these environments. Create and maintain deployable PC images for all faculty, staff, labs, testing centers, kiosk, and other practical areas Maintain patching for OS and third-party applications Endpoint device management Asset tracking Application deployment Escalation point of contact for advanced technical issues Knowledge management for advanced connected systems Mentor and guide service specialists. Associate degree required, bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent experience may substitute for education. Experience maintaining complex connected IT systems with the ability to troubleshoot advanced issues around these systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Moderately complex to complex problem-solving skills. Ability to serve as a technical consultant to academic departments. Have a broad knowledge of multiple computer systems. Researches, evaluates, and provides feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements for department Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and service desk operations. Ability to function with limited supervision. Completes tasks as assigned. Attend weekly meetings and reports on assigned tasks. Design and recommended changes for complex academic compute environment Ability to lift and carry 35 lbs. and install workstation equipment and peripherals. May require occasional work outside of regular business hours to service labs, PC images, or client updates as the demand arises. Must pass a SLED background check and become CJIS certified.
