Analyst, Workday FINS/Payroll Job Description Summary:
Under the supervision of the ERP Systems Manager, the Workday FINS/Payroll Analyst oversees the installation, implementation, and maintenance of vendor-delivered software products and development and implementation of new integrations and reports to support ACC's daily operations. The Workday Analyst will work within an IT as a Business (ITaaB) model wherein the establishment and maintenance of core business processes, service/operating-level agreements and success metrics will be a primary responsibility. The Analyst will be responsible for the overall maintenance of ACC's Workday tenants, the primary HCM/Finance/Payroll system for the college, in conjunction with our solutions delivery teams and users external to IT, as directed and specified by the ERP Services Manager. The Analyst will need to be detail-oriented, organized, and analytical, helping the college to enhance its operations through the implementation of secure, stable enterprise systems.
Job Description:
Description of Duties and Tasks Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manages day-to-day administration of ACC's FINS, Payroll and related modules within Workday Manages the implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of vendor-delivered software products, including products from Workday and third parties Tracks the product roadmap for Workday, understanding the schedule and scope of updates. Plans for changes driven by any end of life announcements from the vendor for modules or products in use. Researches new software products and tools to determine feasibility with regard to current structure and requirements of ACC. Tests, implements, and monitors new procedures, applications, and tools to improve processes and services. Enforces policies and standards for support services, quality control, change management, incident response, and access management as set out by the ERP Systems Manager. Collaborates in discussions with users, systems, and networking staff regarding new work, budget recommendations, production problems identification, and resolution. Works with IT leadership and Information Security areas to pull requested collateral related to financial and student data audits. Technical Knowledge In depth knowledge of Workday FINS and Payroll administration and architecture Direct experience with building and/or maintaining integrations between Workday and other applications, including other SaaS platforms, third party systems hosted on premise and custom applications Hands-on experience with the integration and reporting components of Workday, including Workday Studio, EIB, CloudConnect, Report Writer, and BIRT Solid background using
XSLT, XPATH, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON
Experience with Workday administration, security, access management, and bi-annual release preparation. Strong knowledge of data migration & integration tools and methodologies, including interfacing with third party iPaaS or ETL tools Solid understanding of APIs and messaging technologies Skills Excellent verbal communication skills in articulating the functional and technical aspects of product capabilities Ability to plan and execute tasks in a structured manner Able to work, collaborate and contribute in a team environment Logical/Perceptive, problem solving, detail oriented, solution oriented Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy. Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through. Ensuring administrative applications availability and planning for consistent coverage of support services. Researching and analyzing new software products, tools, and integrations. Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Maintaining an established work schedule and providing assistance outside of usual work hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, winter, and college holidays as required. Required Work Experience Three years related work experience Preferred Work Experience Experience on Workday implementations. Prior exposure to Workday HCM and Security functions is a plus Experience administrating or supporting Ellucian Colleague and/or Banner Student Information Systems a plus Required Education Bachelor's degree 4 years of applicable experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
