IDR is seeking a Technical Lead to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will serve as a key technical liaison between IT and non-technical program teams, helping drive clear, actionable insights from complex data sources. The work supports accurate reporting and strategic decision-making in a mission-focused environment.
Position Overview for the Technical Lead:
Act as a technical lead and bridge between technical IT teams and non-technical program staff across Health and Human Services (HHS) areas
Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable queries for analytics and reporting against complex data sources
Leverage AI prompting techniques to support data access, synthesis, and reporting for official agency needs
Explain technical findings and data limitations clearly to end-users to enable confident operational use of data
Requirements for the Technical Lead:
Experience gathering business requirements and translating complex data requests into clear, actionable queries for complex analytics data sources
Experience explaining technical findings and data limitations in simple, non-technical language to end-users
Experience in a complex data analysis, senior business/systems analyst, and/or data liaison role
Strong experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation
Experience collaborating with end-users and performance analysts or IT internal leaders to create and validate reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
