Job Description:
The Engineering Analyst III serves as a data steward, technical advisor, and operational partner, ensuring that asset data is reliable, actionable, and aligned with organizational maintenance and asset management goals. This position is responsible for managing, analyzing, and interpreting asset and location data within IBM's Maximo Asset Management system. By ensuring data integrity, generating strategic insights, and enabling data-driven decision-making, the Engineering Analyst III supports optimized asset lifecycle management and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with maintenance, engineering, and information technology teams to streamline reporting and optimize asset-related workflows.
Core Responsibilities Execute Data Management:
Gather, prepare, and map source data to Maximo fields for accurate loading, validation, and maintenance of asset and location records.
Ensure Data Integrity:
Perform exhaustive quality checks, review technical drawings, and troubleshoot data discrepancies to guarantee completeness and consistency within the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.
Analyze & Report:
Extract, clean, and interpret complex data from Maximo to develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and key performance metrics for asset performance, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
Liaise with site teams, Maximo users, and engineering departments to identify data requirements, resolve system issues, and support both initial data loads and ongoing updates.
Drive Process Optimization:
Provide data-driven recommendations based on asset trends and predictive analytics to optimize preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
Support System Initiatives:
Assist with system upgrades, configuration modifications, and enterprise data migration initiatives.
Facilitate Training:
Educate users on automated data entry protocols, reporting tools, and corporate best practices for maintaining strict data quality standards.
Required Qualifications Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical discipline, or 8 or more years of equivalent professional experience.
Technical Expertise:
Demonstrated experience working with IBM Maximo or similar Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.
Data Proficiency:
Proven competence utilizing SQL, Microsoft Excel, and data visualization software such as Power BI.
Analytical Skills:
Strong problem-solving capabilities with a dedicated attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Project Management:
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting organizational priorities.
Preferred Qualifications Domain Knowledge:
Advanced understanding of asset management, industrial maintenance processes, and reliability engineering principles.
Communication Skills:
Accomplished verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to explain complex technical data and resolutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
