Evaluate, research, analyze, develop, and serve as a business decision maker to determine computer system requirements that will provide solutions for Cypress-Fairbanks Student Information System (SIS) including, but not limited to Texas Education Agency's (TEA) Public Information Education Management Systems (PEIMS), eFinance systems, BI solutions, AI-powered analytics, PowerSchool, and any other systems that are supported by Cypress-Fairbanks
ISD. QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Degree(s): Preferred bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required, or minimum of seven (7) years' experience with SIS (PowerSchool, eSchoolPLUS).
Professional experience:
Preferred minimum of five (5) years' experience with Texas K-12 business processes and best practices.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Advanced knowledge of enterprise data architecture, analytics, and business intelligence platforms. Advanced SQL and database management experience. Experience designing and supporting enterprise data warehouses and data lakes. Experience with Business Intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, or similar technologies. Experience developing executive dashboards, scorecards, and self-service reporting solutions. Knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and master data management principles. Experience designing and supporting ETL/ELT processes and enterprise data integrations. Experience leveraging AI-powered tools, predictive analytics, machine learning technologies, and automation solutions. Knowledge of cloud technologies including Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Snowflake, or similar platforms. Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate requirements into technical solutions. Ability to lead technical projects and mentor technical staff. Strong software troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational, written, verbal, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to implement policy, standards, and best practices.

$90,097 - TA 8 Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence solutions. Develop and maintain district dashboards, scorecards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and executive reporting tools. Collaborate with district leadership to identify strategic reporting, analytics, and data visualization needs. Lead efforts to integrate data from multiple enterprise systems including student, finance, human resources, assessment, transportation, and operational platforms. Design and maintain enterprise data warehouse and data lake solutions. Develop and support ETL/ELT processes that ensure timely, accurate, and secure movement of data across systems. Evaluate, pilot, and implement AI-powered technologies that improve operational efficiency, reporting, decision making, and customer service. Identify opportunities for automation and business process improvement through technology solutions. Establish and promote data governance standards, data quality practices, and reporting best practices. Serve as a technical advisor for district initiatives involving analytics, reporting, integrations, and data strategy. Lead cross-functional discovery sessions to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technology solutions. Develop advanced reports, queries, visualizations, and predictive analytics models. Coordinate with software vendors and internal stakeholders to implement new functionality and integrations. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Programmer Analyst I and II positions. Assist with strategic planning related to enterprise data, analytics, AI, and emerging technologies. Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, standards, and operational procedures. Manage assigned projects and ensure successful delivery of project milestones. Monitor emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that align with district goals. Provide excellent customer service. Perform other duties as assigned.
