Learn more about why we are one of the Best Companies to Work for in Texas®. Job Summary The IT Report Developer - Associate, analyzes and writes individual reports for assigned Epic applications. Serves as the primary reporting resource and is responsible for system support, maintenance, analysis, design, specification documentation, and versioning all reporting components used to build, manage, and perform hospital reporting.

Job Specific Responsibilities Daily assignments may include but are not limited to: Creating content to display Epic data from Chronicles, Clarity, and Caboodle Create new analytical content, enhance existing analytics, and rationalize ineffective or outdated analytics within the Epic analytical ecosystem. Configuring and testing Epic‐released and Foundation System content for all applications, including Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, Radar, Cogito SQL Writing SQL and configuring Radar settings for custom SQL metrics Modifying existing reports, as necessary Distributing analytics content to data consumers Reviewing peer reports for validity Working with subject matter experts to understand the needs of data consumers. Maintaining the Analytics Catalog and associated metadata records Testing analytics build in a specified testing environment and volume testing in live environments. Reviewing upgrade documentation related to Cogito features and determining how to implement the changes. Building and maintaining Epic Cubes, Extracts, SlicerDicer custom filters, Third‐party BI tools Epic data in Caboodle Education and Experience Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of professional experience with business intelligence tools and/or SQL or other similar coding language Required Licensures/Certifications/Registrations One or more Epic Certifications or willingness to complete Epic certification within 6 months of hire. Skills and Abilities Strong communication skills, both written and verbally Possess excellent analytical and problem solving/resolution skills User‐focused design and data visualization skills Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts Proficiency and demonstrated experience with analytics tools Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships This position will interact with both clinical and non-clinical departments within UMC Health System and TTUHSC to gather requirements, validate and resolve issues relating to the report and/or data analysis. Physical Capabilities Occasionally exerts a small amount of force to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects. Work involves sitting most of the time. Brief walking or standing for short periods of time may be required.
