mail Tweet Share on Facebook Share on LinkedIn Apply Now > Job Description Description SAIC has an opening for an IT Security Policy Analyst to support a Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Technology (DT) Bureau. DT provides enterprise architecture design, engineering, operations and maintenance support services for desktops, servers, networks, firewalls, and enterprise applications across the Department. This is position develops, implements, and enforces regulations to protect classified and sensitive communication systems. Key responsibilities include overseeing the organizations cybersecurity posture, conducting audits, ensuring compliance with federal and commercial standards, and managing security documentation.
Description of Duties:
Policy Development:
Research, draft, and implement organization-specific security policies and operating procedures (SOPs) based on federal and commercial standards.
Compliance & Auditing:
Conduct regular audits of security accounts (local and remote) to ensure strict adherence to federal and commercial standards.
Training & Security Education:
Train personnel on proper network security procedures, Emergency Action Plans (EAP), and handling of classified material.
Risk Management:
Analyze, report, and mitigate risks or incidents related to secure communication, acting as a liaison with government clients.
Qualifications Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security, and government regulations. Deep understanding of secure protocols (TLS, SSH, IPsec), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and advanced encryption standards. Ability to develop and test Emergency Action Plans (EAP) for the rapid protection or destruction of network security systems during a site compromise or emergency evacuation. Extensive experience with the following applications: web-based applications, Microsoft Office software such as Outlook and ServiceNow.
Clearance Requirement:
US Citizenship.
TOP SECRET
with the ability to obtain SCI.
Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:
Understanding of Post Quantum Encryption. Previous COMSEC experience. Familiarity with DoS environment (data and voice networks, IT security systems, policies and procedures), Foreign Affairs Handbooks (FAHs), Foreign Affairs Manuals (FAMs) preferred. Interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate effectively, self-awareness, and excellent written and oral communications.
