Senior IT Specialty Analyst -Epic Ambulatory/HOD Sentara Health - 3.7 Virginia Beach, VA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Application Integration Incident management Medical software Software implementation Process improvement Improving operational efficiency Change management IT experience within healthcare Release management Systems & applications support Cross-functional collaboration Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Overview Responsible for day-to-day support and optimization of Epic software applications, specifically EpicCare Ambulatory. Responsibilities include build, upgrades, and system enhancements. Analyzes business / clinical needs, evaluates software releases and/or new products, and gives recommendations to optimize processes and decrease expenses. Possesses in-depth business / clinical and application knowledge and experience. Performs and documents workflow assessments to determine functional requirements for optimal utilization of applications. Develops system test plans and performs testing of software upgrades and patches. Maintains a record of test progress and test results. Responsible for problem, incident, and change management and service requests. Provides daily on-call support to the customer base for application-related issues. Works within a cross-functional team and with end-users to achieve application integration to meet business / clinical needs. Responsible for the communication of software issues, requirements, upgrades, and enhancements. Oversees smaller-sized projects or components of projects. Coordinates implementation or project planning around software Education Bachelor's Degree (Preferred) or Experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree - 7+ years of relevant experience required without a degree Certification/Licensure EpicCare Ambulatory certification or accreditation is required or other credential(s) which is determined central to the systems or applications supported. Other Epic certifications and accreditations to be considered include HOD and Beacon. Experience 5+ years of Experience supporting, optimizing, and maintaining Epic applications, specifically EpicCare Ambulatory, in a healthcare environment with a degree 7+ Experience supporting, optimizing, and maintaining Epic applications, specifically EpicCare Ambulatory, in a healthcare environment without a degree Experience with Epic application build, upgrades, system enhancements, testing, and release implementation activities. Strong understanding of clinical and operational workflows with the ability to analyze business/clinical needs and recommend process improvements. Experience with incident management, change management, service requests, and providing on-call support for application-related issues. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, end-users, and stakeholders to support application integration and workflow optimization.
