Voice Engineer Information Services Admin Office Information Services Full Time 40 hrs/week Day Shift 7am - 4p Join Arizona's largest, most prominent not-for-profit hospice, serving the valley since 1977. Position Overview The Voice Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining HOV's enterprise voice infrastructure. This role ensures reliable, secure, and scalable communication systems that support both clinical and administrative operations. Key Responsibilities Architect and manage VoIP systems, PBX, SIP trunks, and unified communications platforms (e.g., Avaya, Ring Central, Microsoft Teams). Configure call routing, dial plans, voicemail, and endpoint integrations. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and quality of service. Collaborate with IT and business units to assess needs and deliver tailored voice solutions. Lead voice infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, and vendor coordination. Maintain documentation for configurations and procedures. Ensure HIPAA compliance and security standards for voice systems. Provide Tier 3 support and mentor less experienced colleagues, ensuring consistent knowledge transfer and skills development across the team. Integrate voice systems with enterprise applications such as EHR platforms, paging systems, contact center tools, and mobile apps to streamline workflows and enhance user experience. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in IT, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 5 years of enterprise voice engineering experience. Proficiency in VoIP protocols, SIP, QoS, and network fundamentals. Experience with Avaya IP Office, Ring Central EX, Ring Central CX , or Microsoft Teams Voice. Strong communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications
Certifications:
