Job Description

IT - Telecom EngineerTelecom/WISP Engineer, We are searching for a Telecom Engineer for our WISP located in West Africa, Liberia who has the ability to plan and implement wireless network solutions. He must have excellent knowledge (Certifications required) in Mikrotik wireless equipment and should be able to trouble shoot and install wireless solutions and create wireless networks for rural areas with P2P and P2MP solutions along with knowledge for creating VPN's, managing wireless Hotspots and working on Cisco solutions. He should be able to establishes voice and data networks by designing, running, pulling, terminating,and splicing cables (Fiber); installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, CCTV, IP Phones, Access control, cable trays, and alarm and fire-suppression systems; establishing connections; programming features; establishing connections and integrations; following industry standards; activating remote access tools. Verifies service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms; identifying, correcting, or escalating problems. Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network back-up procedures; updating documentation. Knowledge in CCTV and Access control - Knowledge is fiber splicing and testing - Knowledge on DNS servers and
Cacti Servers Required Skills:
This position requires a self motivated individual with strong organizational and planning skills as well as a strong technical background. Must be able to assimilate a broad range of information, schedule priority work effectively and follow through to completion on a timely basis. Other requirements are strong communication skills & sense of urgency. This position requires a highly self motivated individual with the ability to think ahead and work with minimal supervision and takes prides in maintaining the highest standards of quality. Must demonstrate basic intelligence, technical aptitude, have good character and high moral ethics. Should be able to manage administrative work, manage, schedule and plan work for technicians working with him.
