Our client is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Project Lead to provide technical leadership for the design and delivery of telecommunications infrastructure supporting data center and mission-critical facility projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful project execution from concept through construction support.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of structured cabling, wireless, audio/visual, and other low-voltage systems Perform preliminary assessments, concept development, and detailed engineering design Coordinate and guide BIM designers in the preparation of engineering drawings Develop and modify Division 27 specifications Conduct site surveys and technical document reviews Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications Respond to RFIs, submittals, and substitution requests Collaborate with clients, vendors, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
Required Qualifications:
Technical or Associate Degree from an accredited institution Minimum 4 years of experience designing or leading Telecommunications Structured Cabling Systems Strong knowledge of ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and NFPA 70 standards Experience with project budgeting, scheduling, and risk management Familiarity with Navisworks and BIM coordination Experience supporting RFP responses and proposal activities Excellent communication and project leadership skills RCDD certification preferred or ability to obtain within one year of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Security, Audio/Visual, and Wireless systems Data Center or Mission-Critical Facility project experience Electrical Engineering degree or related discipline Experience installing telecommunications systems Experience reviewing telecommunications testing results and troubleshooting installation issues
