Job Description

Strategic Solutions Unlimited, Inc. (SSU) is a defense industry-based company, that is veteran owned and operated by military-minded professionals with decades of special operations and intelligence experience, focused on enabling the warfighter, or servicing government organizations and the commercial sector. Domestically or internationally, SSU provides a large business experience as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). SSU is currently recruiting for an RF / Tempest Specialist . The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of Special Forces Communications (18E) experience and general familiarity of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) to join our team. This role combines advanced knowledge in radio frequency engineering, TEMPEST security, and secure facility development to ensure the protection of sensitive information. The candidate will be able to apply their military background to complex technical challenges in secure communications, information protection, and facility development

Top Secret Responsibilities:
Conduct TEMPEST evaluations and site surveys to assess facilities for compliance with security requirements Perform RF signal searches and analyze complex technical security issues Design, implement, and optimize radio frequency systems for secure communications Provide recommendations for TEMPEST protection in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) Employ and maintain various radio communications systems, including HF, VHF, and UHF/SHF Prepare technical reports, accreditation letters, and briefings for senior management Train and advise personnel on the installation and operation of secure communication equipment Collaborate with Site Security Managers (SSMs) and Accrediting Officials (AOs) during SCIF planning, design, and construction phases Review SCIF construction and renovation plans to determine TEMPEST countermeasures and recommend solutions Assist in developing the TEMPEST Addendum for the Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC) Provide input for the Construction Security Plan (CSP) and Pre-Construction Checklist Ensure TEMPEST mitigation requirements are incorporated into SCIF designs Conduct TEMPEST evaluations for SCIFs to maintain accreditation standards
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field Knowledge of DOD-specific reference manuals (ICD 705, NISPOM) and National TEMPEST reference manuals Proficiency in RF testing equipment and procedures Experience with computer modeling and wireless network systems Knowledge of Intelligence Community Standard (ICS) 705-1 and related SCIF construction guidelines Familiarity with TEMPEST requirements for SCIFs, including shielding techniques and ductwork security measures Understanding of SCIF-specific access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and secure communication infrastructure Experience with SCIF electrical considerations, including proper grounding and protection against electromagnetic emanations
Preferred Skills:
5 years of SOF communications experience Familiarity with TEMPEST Technical Security testing equipment Experience with LTE and advanced RF networks Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to interpret and apply ICD 705 checklist requirements for SCIF compliance Experience as a Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) or working closely with CTTAs Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) Benefits include: 401K Matching PTO and Holiday Full Medical Insurance Referral Bonus Program If you are seeking a highly rewarding and challenging position that allows you to make a positive impact, we encourage you to apply or submit your resume/CV to resumes@ssuinc.us.
