Job Description

Job Summary We're transforming intangible ideas into innovative solutions, designing the future today. Responsibilities As a telecommunications project lead, you will work on various projects as assigned by a Department Manager or Lead Engineer. You will play a role in the entire design process, including: Preliminary assessments Concept creation Leading designs with support from peers, SMEs, and BIM designers Internal and external problem resolution Drawing and specification production Customer and vendor accessibility You may work on several concurrent projects and will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time. You'll provide technical design leadership for systems in data center buildings, including structured cabling systems, wireless, audio-visual, and other low voltage systems. Key Responsibilities Include Leading BIM designers in the preparation of engineering drawings DIV 27 specification creation or modification Conducting site visits Reviewing technical documents Learning from more senior team leaders and receiving mentorship Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders Responding to RFIs, Submittals, and Substitution requests
Qualifications Required:
Technical or associate's degree from an accredited institution Minimum 4 years' experience actively designing or leading designs for telecommunications structured cabling systems Thorough knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards Thorough knowledge of NFPA 70 and its application to telecommunications structured cabling systems Familiarity with Navisworks Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines, project managers, and clients Excellent project management skills Familiarity with responding to RFPs Experience in creating a budget for a project Experience in creating and maintaining a project schedule Experience in identifying and mitigating company risk Credential as an RCDD or ability to attain it within one year of hire
Preferred:
Experience working on other low voltage systems, including: Security Audio/Visual Wireless Electrical Engineering degree or related discipline Experience installing telecommunications systems Experience reading and analyzing test results for telecommunications systems Experience troubleshooting issues during installation of telecommunications systems Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
