Telecommunication Engineer:
Softel Techsource LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking a Telecommunication Engineer to perform wireless manage data over various modes of communication, design and install equipment, evaluate system performance, monitor network traffic and resolve network issues. This resource needs to be highly technical, capable of understanding business drivers, and meeting aggressive timelines to perform the following duties: Define and execute wireless access network strategies encompassing FTTH/FTTx, xDSL, FWA, LTE, and 5G to support nationwide residential and enterprise broadband deployments. Perform end-to-end radio network planning for LTE, 5G NSA/SA, and 5G-Advanced, including coverage modeling, capacity forecasting, spectrum utilization, and QoE optimization. Design access, aggregation, and transport network architecture covering fronthaul, backhaul, last-mile, and indoor coverage solutions for mobile services. Led technical assessment, PoC validation, and commercial introduction of next-generation access technologies, including xG-PON, XGS-PON, Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, mmWave 5G, FTTR, and SD-WAN. Conduct technical, operational, and financial feasibility studies with business case analysis to support broadband rollout planning and technology selection. Manage wireless service assurance activities, including CS/PS session analysis, MO/MT call flows, VoLTE service validation, and 5G signaling analysis. Analyze Layer-3 signaling traces and OSS probe data to troubleshoot call setup failures, drops, media path issues, latency, and throughput degradation. Support subscriber provisioning, configuration, and optimization for VoLTE, VoCPE, and high-speed data services in alignment with defined SLA parameters. Execute drive testing and post-processing analysis to identify root causes of radio and service performance issues and applied optimization actions aligned with 3GPP standards. Design and validated radio propagation models and indoor/outdoor coverage solutions to support enterprise customers and high-value service locations. Develop and implement network SLAs, QoS and traffic management policies, and service performance KPIs for mobile broadband services. Prepare, reviewed, and validated HLD, LLD, BOQ, SOW, and related technical documentation to support network deployment and vendor coordination. Implement automated service delivery and fault management processes incorporating SLA governance, operational KPIs, and contractor performance tracking. Collaborate with operations, planning, and vendor teams to improve service delivery efficiency, reduce MTTR, and enhance overall customer experience. This position does not have supervisory duties.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field that provides the required knowledge and abilities and five (5) years of post-degree, progressive experience in any related positions that provided the required skills and abilities.
