Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Enterprise Voice Engineer II to support the sustainment and operation of DISA enterprise voice and video services at Scott AFB, IL. This role focuses on maintaining a highly available, secure IP voice infrastructure through engineering, problem management, and change management activities. The ideal candidate has strong experience with enterprise IP telephony platforms, SIP signaling, and large‑scale DoD network environments.
Work Environment:
Full‑time, on‑site role at Scott Air Force Base supporting mission‑critical DISA enterprise voice operations.
Responsibilities:
Perform engineering and sustainment activities for a complex IP voice, video, and data communications infrastructure. Manage, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise voice services to ensure secure, reliable availability. Support configuration management, capacity planning, system maintenance, and documentation efforts. Configure and manage calling search spaces, route plans, route partitions, route lists, and device profiles. Analyze and resolve complex SIP signaling, call‑flow, registration, and media issues across distributed sites. Perform fault analysis and configuration of voice subscribers, call handlers, and call routing rules. Configure and troubleshoot Cisco or Juniper routing and switching devices in support of voice services. Support distributed firewall infrastructure and validate network and security configurations. Validate and implement approved change requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Provide input into technical policies, work instructions, and reporting for enterprise IP telephony services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with less than 2 years of experience; equivalent experience considered. DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent). Experience supporting enterprise voice platforms such as Cisco CUCM, Cisco Unity, Cisco CUBE, Oracle SBC, or Avaya Aura. Strong understanding of SIP internetworking, signaling, and call‑flow analysis. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting routing, switching, security, and large‑scale voice implementations. Active Secret security clearance required.
Preferred:
Experience with SRTP, G.711 and G.729 codecs, and DTMF. Experience with Oracle SBCs and voice media gateway appliances. Experience supporting distributed firewall environments. Experience with IPSec and
MPLS VPN
infrastructures. Experience implementing and supporting BGP routing protocols. Knowledge of QoS design, classification, marking, and prioritization for voice and mission‑critical traffic.
Clearance Requirement:
TS/SCI required.
Compensation:
Pay range: $68,000 - $83,000 (Based on years of relevant experience)
