You will collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to translate product strategy into high-quality user interfaces, ensuring consistency, usability, and clarity across the platform. This role goes beyond aesthetics—you will design experiences that help users quickly interpret data, gain insights, and take meaningful action. Description The Product & Design Team at Parsec Education is responsible for creating intuitive, scalable user experiences across our data platform. This team works closely with Product and Engineering to design interfaces that bring together analytics, strategic planning (LCAP/SPSA), and qualitative insights into a unified, user-friendly experience that drives clarity and action for educators and district leaders. As a UI Designer , you will design clean, intuitive interfaces that make complex educational data easy to understand and act on. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to translate product strategy into high-quality user interfaces, ensuring consistency, usability, and clarity across the platform. This role goes beyond aesthetics—you will design experiences that help users quickly interpret data, gain insights, and take meaningful action. Ideal Candidate Objectives We are looking for candidates who are detail-oriented, creative, and highly collaborative, with a strong ability to translate complex concepts into simple, intuitive designs. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of designing modern, user-centered interfaces and thrives in fast-paced environments. They should be comfortable working with ambiguity, incorporating user feedback, and continuously iterating to improve the product experience. Responsibilities Design intuitive user interfaces for dashboards, data visualizations, and workflows across the platform Translate complex data and product requirements into simple, digestible visual experiences Create and maintain consistent, reusable UI components and design patterns Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure designs are feasible and delivered with quality Produce high-quality mockups, prototypes, and final UI specifications using Figma Maintain and evolve the design system to ensure consistency across all product surfaces Incorporate user feedback and data insights to continuously improve usability, clarity, and accessibility Experience 3-5+ years of experience in UI, product, or digital design Strong portfolio showcasing clean, modern interface design Proficiency in Figma, including components, auto layout, and prototyping Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy Experience designing dashboards or data-heavy interfaces Experience working on SaaS or analytics-driven products preferred Familiarity with design systems and component libraries is a plus Basic understanding of UX principles, user flows, and accessibility standards (WCAG) preferred Requirements Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality design execution Excellent collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams Ability to translate product requirements into clear, actionable design outputs Experience working in agile or sprint-based environments preferred Must be able to lift 5lbs (ADA - this may vary depending on position) Must have valid CA Driver's License (if travel is required for this position) Benefits Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options In addition to 14 observed holidays, team members have unlimited paid time off 401(k) plan with employer match Employer Paid Life Insurance Competitive Bonus Structure Awesome Collaborative Office Space located in
