In this role, you will understand both the execution and business aspects of our products, collaborating with leaders across UX, Engineering, and Product Management to create innovative experiences, leveraging your passion for brand, craft, and design quality. As the UX Research Lead for Community and Live, you will be responsible for the user experience of how we connect this vibrant community together. You will also be responsible for leading the development of new formats and ways our audience connect and have conversations across all YouTube products. In this role, you will drive a user-centered goal, influence cross-functional partners and hold a high bar for product excellence to deliver experiences for YouTube's viewers and creators. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Manage a team of four UX research individual contributors (ICs) and act as a consultant and thought partner to cross-functional leadership. Drive a user-centered goal and establish depth of product/domain knowledge on key questions for Community and Live. Oversee and participate in key processes including planning, dissemination, visioning, and co-design to deliver experiences. Coach and grow team members while active in shaping team culture and supporting the discipline through AI transformation. Conduct foundational research for YouTube users and team members.
