Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of motion design experience in product design, UX design, or UX/UI animation. Experience in motion design related to physics, patterns, and visual design elements. Experience with light coding or vibe coding (e.g., HTML/CSS, JS, Lottie). Experience in marketing, branding and animation work. Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization. 1 year of experience leading design projects. Experience with industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma) specifically for animation and visual effects pipelines. As a Motion Designer on the motion.code team, you will be the engine for motion excellence in Search. You will act as the conduit between UX, brand, and marketing, bringing ideas to life. By bridging ideation and implementation, you will help systemize the craft and drive cohesive, high-craft experiences at scale. Responsibilities Define and implement the look and feel of Google products through motion design. Provide patterns, best practices and guidance on animation and transitions for different devices (such as TV, tablets, wearables, mobile, etc.) and platforms (such as web, Android, iOS, etc.).
