Job Purpose We are seeking a Jr UI/UX Designer to help us deliver AI-driven digital health solutions that balance complex user needs with business viability and technical feasibility. This individual will contribute to and help evolve a scalable, enterprise-grade design system that ensures visual and functional harmony across the entire Welldoc portfolio. This is a contract role lasting approximately 3-4 months.
Responsibilities UX Integrity & Quality Assurance:
Serve as a gatekeeper for design quality by reviewing implementation deliverables from development teams to ensure the final product meets high standards for usability, aesthetic excellence, and accessibility compliance. Partner with
Human Factors:
Create design artifacts—including user flows and decision logs—that support the full product lifecycle and ensure design iterations meet the rigorous standards for regulatory filings in ISO 13485 and MDSAP environments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner deeply with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Scrum teams to iterate on complex UX flows and solve sophisticated product challenges in a collaborative, AI-driven environment.
Required Skills and Experience Modern Toolstack:
Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, and Adobe CC, while actively exploring AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, Lovable, and Figma AI.
Accessibility:
Deep familiarity with WCAG 2.2 and modern accessibility guidelines, ensuring inclusive design is a core component of the product strategy.
Design Reasoning:
Ability to justify design decisions through rigorous reasoning based on UX principles, user research, and product knowledge to stakeholders and development teams.
Pace & Quality:
Excellent attention to detail and high-quality standards while delivering at pace against ambitious deadlines.
Regulatory Environment:
Ability to work in or be trained for ISO 13485, MDSAP, HITRUST, and SOC 2 Type II compliant environments. Welldoc operates in ISO 13485 and MDSAP regulated and HITRUST and SOC 2 Type II compliant environments. Therefore, it is expected that all employees will have either prior experience working in those environments or will be trained to understand the requirements needed to work and support those requirements and culture as they relate to individual roles and responsibilities.
Education:
BA/BS or MS degree program in UI/UX Design (e.g., Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, Information Systems Design or similar concentration) or equivalent experience. A robust portfolio showcasing a sophisticated UX process and end-to-end work samples that demonstrate how your designs solved complex, real-world problems and moved business metrics. Work must reflect a deep, individual thought process and original problem-solving rather than standard, "copy-paste" portfolio templates.
Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $25-40/hour. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment, you may be required to complete and clear a multi-panel drug screening process. This screening is in connection with requirements set by certain of the Company's customers, with which you may be working in this role, and will at all times be administered all applicable laws.
