Job Description

Title:
UX Designer P3
Location:
New York, NY (4 days onsite)
Duration:
3+ month contract (through 9/30/26 / There will be extension for next fiscal year)
Compensation:
$63 - $77/hour
Position Summary:
This role will provide Design support for UMP, Unified Messaging Platform, the internal tooling that is positioned as the centralized tooling to enable Marketing and Messaging needs across TWDC. Design will provide strategic POV on how the tooling can scale across the org, ensuring that we optimize the user experience for efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
User Research & Discovery Conduct user research and analysis for DES-designated work streams prior to design activities Conduct user research and testing to validate user-centered design decisions Conduct user interviews structured as workshops with DES-designated business users across DES-designated departments Lead design/whiteboard sessions with DES-designated team Establish DES-designated departments'' pain points with the current system and workflows UX Design & Documentation Create process documentation via user journeys and process flows (e.g., Sketch, Excel) Create sketches, wireframes and interactive prototypes for DES-designated products, utilizing existing style guides (e.g., Sketch, Invision, and Axure) while maintaining existing DES style guide/design system Create visual designs and specifications to support the product development process Produce other artifacts such as information architecture, task flows, and mockups, as required by DES Validate with DES-designated users via design review sessions Incorporate feedback into designs and hand-off to DES-designated development teams Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with the DES-designated business analysts and product owners to obtain more granular follow-up requirements from DES-designated user Attend and participate in all UX/UI agile team meetings and activities required by DES, including, but not limited to, grooming, planning, scrum, and demos Participate in user story reviews Team & Quality Management Manage Consultant personnel assigned to this Statement of Work, including, resource on-boarding, resource off-boarding, resource replacement and backfill, as required Ensure that the quality of the Deliverables meet DES''s quality expectations and requirements. This function will be done through a combination of active involvement with the delivery team, as well as periodic quality checks on outputs generated
Reporting-related Services:
Report on Consultant''s performance against the DES-prioritized and designated Project activities using DES''s designated-tools such as JIRA to extract relevant data and metrics for reporting purposes Provide financial burndown reports as requested by DES to support DES''s project management activities Provide Sprint status reports (the "Sprint Reports") Provide weekly status reports that include summary data on any technical artifacts produced by Consultant ("Weekly Status Reports") Conduct quarterly business reviews (each a "QBR" and collectively the "QBRs") with DES- designated stakeholders to evaluate engagement status Create for DES''s approval communication and escalation plans
