Our customers range from Fortune 100 companies to government departments at the Federal and State levels. What We Do CostQuest Associates serves government clients and the broadband industry with valuation, appraisal, public policy, engineering cost, and business planning services. We excel in custom broadband telecommunications economics work and the creation of niche datasets and applications that enable companies and regulators to make effective, informed decisions. Position Description We're looking for a Senior Product Designer who brings a deep understanding of user experience design, customer discovery, and product strategy to shape the future of CostQuest Associates' digital products. You'll be part of a collaborative product organization that values evidence-driven decisions, rapid iteration, and clear communication. The ideal candidate pairs exceptional interaction and visual design skills with the ability to uncover and synthesize complex user needs. You thrive on turning ambiguity into clarity, using research, structured thinking, and creative problem-solving to design elegant solutions for real-world workflows.
Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Engineers, and Customer Experience teams to turn research insights into intuitive experiences
Lead end-to-end design across the full product lifecycle, from generative discovery to production-ready interfaces
Conduct user research to map customer journeys, reduce friction, and uncover opportunities to improve outcomes
Build prototypes at varying levels of fidelity to communicate ideas, test hypotheses, and gather early feedback
Own complex problem spaces by identifying opportunities, shaping solutions, and driving work with minimal oversight
Build and evolve our design system, creating scalable interaction patterns that ensure consistency, accessibility, and efficiency across all customer-facing applications
Advocate for users through evidence and empathy, influencing product direction with design thinking
Partner with engineering to ensure high-quality implementation and design integrity from concept through launch
Required Skills:
5+ years of SaaS design experience, ideally in complex domains or enterprise workflows where usability and clarity are critical
Strong UX fundamentals, including research, information architecture, interaction design, and usability testing
Proven web application design experience, with expertise in native patterns, responsive layouts, and platform-specific nuances
Research proficiency: able to plan and execute qualitative and quantitative studies, then translate insights into actionable design direction
Systems thinking: comfortable balancing near-term product needs with long-term vision, aligned to business and customer goals
Excellent communication and facilitation skills: able to guide discussions, build consensus, and advocate for design across teams
Tool proficiency in modern design and prototyping platforms (Figma preferred), with strong attention to detail and care for usability and aesthetics
Other Requirements:
Occasional travel to Seattle and other locations as needed.
Must be eligible to work in the United States to meet U.S. Government clearance requirements.
Ability to pass a U.S. Public Trust background investigation; must have lived in the U.S. for the past three (3) years.
