Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a talented Front-End UI/UX developer to join our team to design and implement Windows application user interfaces for a suite of services involving the display and processing of geospatial data, imagery, and video. As a primary developer responsible for curating user experience for our customers, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our product meets the needs of our customers, while providing a visually appealing and easy-to-use experience.
Expectations:
Collaborate with design teams and development teams to create responsive and appealing user interfaces for windows applications and components Implement responsive design principles to support a variety of visual interfaces Quickly develop mockups and prototypes for customer interactions and iterations on design concepts Use best practices for user experience design, and rapidly incorporate user feedback in prototypes and final interfaces Participate in all phases of the development life cycle and ensure timely delivery of demos and projects Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders Experience in Figma or other design layout tools to quickly create and demo potential user interfaces and workflows A demonstrated ability to quickly identify, diagnose, and resolve issues in complex systems Strong organizational skills with the flexibility to manage multiple vertical slices of design and implementation in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Possess a well-documented portfolio of prior work that highlights both technical skill and design philosophy
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field At least 5 years' experience (or equivalent) in front end development or UI/UX design Demonstrated proficiency in WPF Demonstrated proficiency with Qt Demonstrated expertise with Windows application UI development Demonstrated expertise with UI/UX design and component-based development Demonstrated familiarity with design tools such as Figma Experience developing tools for geospatial data processing or hands-on experience using geospatial processing tools such as ArcGIS Experience with analyzing existing UI codebases to identify improvement opportunities to extend functionality, improve performance and scalability, and ensure maintainability. A strong sense of project ownership Proven ability to follow project specs and deadlines Applicants must be willing to obtain a security clearance and will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
