UI IX Designer 4 (Lead)

UI/UX Designer 4 | Hybrid Caterpillar is seeking a senior UI/UX Designer to support enterprise digital products within our Digital organization. This role focuses on designing intuitive, high?quality user experiences for complex business applications while partnering closely with product, engineering, and research teams. This is a hybrid position. Candidates must live within 50 miles or one hour commuting distance of a Caterpillar office. Preferred locations include Broomfield CO, Chicago IL, Peoria IL, or Dallas TX. • 12?month contract with potential extension
• Monday through Friday, first shift
• Compensation range is $70 to $72 per hour What You Will Do
• Lead end?to?end UX design efforts from concept through delivery using wireframes, prototypes, personas, journey maps, and user research
• Create low, mid, and high?fidelity designs that translate business and user needs into clear experience solutions
• Represent the voice of the user while balancing business goals and technical constraints
• Own and maintain design system standards, templates, and components within Figma
• Act as a design operations leader ensuring consistency, quality, and strong design hygiene
• Collaborate daily with product managers, engineers, researchers, and a global UX team Team and Environment You will work closely with a team of designers and researchers in the US and collaborate with additional team members based in India.

The environment is highly collaborative and supports feedback, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. This role follows a hybrid work schedule with on?site presence two to three days per week. Required Qualifications

• Degree with at least 8 years of professional UX experience, or 12 or more years of equivalent UX experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating enterprise or B2B application design
• Expert?level Figma skills with emphasis on design systems, components, and file organization
• Experience creating interaction flows, prototypes, and experience diagrams
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines Preferred Qualifications
• Experience designing enterprise applications rather than consumer?only products
• Background in industries such as equipment management, logistics, energy, fintech, mapping, or aviation
• Experience with native mobile enterprise applications
• UX generalist mindset with the ability to contribute across multiple phases of design Important Notes
