Advanced proficiency in Figma, including auto-layout, components, prototyping, and design systems. Â
Experience designing for credit unions, banks, or fintech, with a strong understanding of digital banking workflows. Â
Expertise in designing responsive websites and native mobile apps (iOS/Android). Â
Ability to design user journeys for: o Online & mobile banking o Account onboarding o Loan & credit card applications o Payments, transfers, bill pay o Digital servicing flows Â
Familiarity with WCAG 2.x and ADA compliance for U.S. digital experiences. Â
Experience conducting user research and usability testing. Â
Ability to create personas, user flows, IA, journey maps, and interactive prototypes. Â
Strong understanding of design methodologies (Design Thinking, UCD, Double Diamond). Â
Familiarity with regulatory considerations: disclosures, fraud prevention, clarity in financial UI. Â
Experience maintaining and scaling design systems. Roles & Responsibilities Â
Lead UX design for the credit union’s website, online banking portal, and mobile banking app. Â
Implement a structured design methodology for new products and features, from research through final delivery. Â
Develop executive-level presentations, including conceptual design strategies, member journey insights, and proposed UI/UX solutions. Â
Create and maintain a Figma-based design system to ensure consistency across web and mobile channels. Â
Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to inform design decisions. Â
Translate complex regulatory and compliance requirements into clear, intuitive designs. Â
Optimize high-impact member journeys: onboarding, loan applications, digital payments, authentication, account management. Â
Partner with Product, Technology, Marketing, Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to align design direction. Â
Present design concepts and rationale to Leadership, Executive Teams, and Steering Committees. Â
Ensure designs meet brand standards, accessibility requirements, and security best practices. Â
