Escape Room Game Master - Supervisor

Shift Supervisor / Game Master at Ingenious Escape Rooms Position Overview The Shift Supervisor / Senior Game Master serves as the acting leader on duty during assigned shifts and plays a critical role in maintaining smooth daily operations, supporting team performance, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. This position combines leadership responsibilities with all standard Game Master duties. Shift Supervisors are expected to lead by example, maintain professionalism under pressure, and ensure both staff and operations reflect the immersive, guest-focused standards of the company at all times.

Compensation Starting Pay:

$16.90/hour during training and probationary period

Post-Training Pay:

$17.90+/hour upon successful completion of training, probation, and demonstration of operational readiness Advancement into the full Shift Supervisor role is based on consistency, reliability, leadership performance, and the ability to independently oversee shift operations. Core Responsibilities Leadership & Shift Operations Serve as the primary on-shift leader when management is not present Support and direct Game Masters throughout assigned shifts Ensure shifts remain organized, efficient, and on schedule Delegate operational tasks and monitor completion Coordinate staff breaks and assist with shift coverage when needed Address guest concerns professionally and assist in conflict resolution Maintain communication with management regarding operational issues, staffing concerns, or maintenance needs Help foster a professional, positive, and team-oriented work environment Guest Experience & Game Master Duties Deliver energetic, immersive, and professional guest interactions Welcome, brief, and guide guests through their experience Monitor games and provide clues in a natural and engaging manner Reset escape rooms accurately and efficiently between games Ensure all guests are offered post-game photos and closing interactions Facility & Operational Standards Ensure all games are fully reset, functional, and presentation-ready Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility Report maintenance, technical, or operational concerns promptly Assist in training newer Game Masters Uphold company policies, operational standards, and safety procedures consistently Shift Supervisors are expected to: Lead with professionalism, accountability, and initiative Set the operational and customer service standard for the team Maintain composure and problem-solving ability in high-pressure situations Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills Take ownership of assigned shifts and responsibilities Represent the company positively through attitude, reliability, and performance Qualifications Previous customer service experience preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments Reliable attendance and scheduling flexibility Leadership qualities and strong attention to detail Position Notes This is a leadership-level operational position intended for team members who consistently demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and initiative.
