Role:

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Game Masters! As a Game Master, you are the key to creating a memorable and exciting experience for our guests. You will guide them through their escape room adventure, ensuring they have a fun, challenging, and safe time. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for entertainment, and the ability to think on your feet. The position would be 10 - 20 hours per week at $15 per hour

Responsibilities:

Room Preparation:

Resetting and preparing escape rooms for upcoming bookings, ensuring all props, puzzles, and set pieces are in their correct locations and functioning properly. This includes cleaning and light maintenance.

Guest Interaction:

Greeting guests, providing pre-game briefings, explaining the rules and objectives of the escape room, and setting the scene to immerse them in the story.

Game Monitoring:

Observing and monitoring game progress through cameras and other monitoring systems, providing timely and appropriate hints and guidance to teams as needed to enhance their experience without giving away solutions.

Performance Management:

Maintaining the flow and pacing of the game, ensuring teams are challenged but not overly frustrated. Adapting your approach to different groups and their skill levels.

Post-Game Debriefing:

Meeting with teams after their game, discussing their experience, answering questions, taking photos, and celebrating their successes (or near misses!).

Customer Service:

Providing exceptional customer service to all guests, addressing their concerns, and ensuring they have a positive and enjoyable experience.

Troubleshooting:

Identifying and resolving technical issues or malfunctions within the escape rooms.

Safety & Security:

Enforcing safety rules and procedures, ensuring the well-being of guests and the security of the escape room environment.

Other Duties:

Assisting with other tasks as needed, such as marketing events, cleaning, and general maintenance.

Qualifications:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Ability to work independently 1 and as part of a team. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. A passion for escape rooms, games, or entertainment is a plus! Previous experience in customer service, entertainment, or a related field is preferred but not required. Basic technical troubleshooting skills are beneficial. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
