Full Job Description Job Overview:
As an Escape Room Game Master, you will be the primary point of contact for guests during their game experience. You'll guide participants through their journey, ensure the smooth operation of each game, provide hints when necessary, and ensure that everyone has a memorable and enjoyable experience. This role is perfect for someone who is energetic, outgoing, and has a passion for problem-solving, storytelling, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Host and Monitor Games:
Greet players, explain the rules and objectives, and oversee the game from start to finish, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Provide Hints and Assistance:
Observe teams throughout the game, offering hints or intervention when necessary, ensuring players are engaged without giving away the solution.
Set Up and Maintain Rooms:
Prepare and reset rooms for each game session, ensuring all puzzles, props, and tech are in working order.
Customer Service:
Be the friendly face of the company, providing excellent customer service before, during, and after the game. Address any questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
Troubleshoot and Problem Solve:
Handle any technical or operational issues that arise during the game, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining an immersive experience for players.
Maintain Safety:
Ensure all safety protocols are followed and guests are aware of any necessary safety information related to the game environment.
Feedback Collection:
Gather feedback from participants to help improve game experiences and customer satisfaction.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other Game Masters and staff to ensure smooth operations, share best practices, and contribute to a positive team culture.
Qualifications:
Strong Communication Skills:
Clear and concise communication is essential for briefing, guiding players, and managing the flow of the game.
Problem-Solving Ability:
Ability to think on your feet and quickly address any challenges or issues that arise during a game.
Customer-Focused Attitude:
Excellent interpersonal skills with a passion for creating a fun and engaging experience for every guest. Attention to
Detail:
Ensure every puzzle, clue, and room setting is meticulously prepared for each session.
Adaptability:
Ability to manage a variety of games, room themes, and player dynamics while maintaining professionalism.
Team Player:
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Availability:
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in customer service, event hosting, or entertainment. Familiarity with escape room operations or puzzle-solving. Technical aptitude or experience with interactive technologies.
