In-Game Entertainment Producer/DJ Norfolk Tides - 4.6 Norfolk, VA Job Details Part-time | Seasonal 1 day ago Qualifications DJing Event audio equipment operation Sports Full Job Description The Norfolk Tides, owned by Diamond Baseball Holdings and the Triple-A Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, are seeking a part-time, seasonal In-Game Entertainment Producer/DJ for the 2026 Tides Gameday Ballpark Staff. All are encouraged to apply, including high school seniors, local college students, and recent grads interested in pursuing careers in the sports industry and minor league baseball. Scheduling is flexible and based on availability.
Requirements:
Previous experience working in sports/in-game entertainment/production/promotions Previous experience operating audio mixers Understanding of how to produce an event and follow a script/run of show Strong knowledge of baseball and how baseball games should be presented to fans Ability to remain focused without distraction for at least three hours Keen eye for following game action and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment Willingness to think on your feet and be flexible with moving parts and last-minute changes to scheduled programming Understanding of how to use audio/music/sound effects to maximize storytelling the ballpark experience Have dependable transportation and arrive 1-2 hours before game time
Preferences:
Availability to work 90% of the games throughout the season Baseball/Entertainment Enthusiast - understands the game, in-game situations, and the power of storytelling through entertainment Knowledge of audio mixers & software. Availability to work the majority of the games/events throughout the 2026 season Strong, diligent, and detail-oriented production skills are highly preferred.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have at least one year of either professional, collegiate experience, or high school experience operating the needed audio equipment and/or producing a sporting event. Ability to contribute to the organization both through playing music, sound effects, and pre-requested content in-game, during the game, and post-game. Additionally, candidates will need to have a positive attitude, an unwavering work ethic, and an eagerness to contribute to a fun, fast-moving work atmosphere.
