Job Description

The Graphic Design Assistant position supports the outreach and marketing efforts of the School of Media and Communication. purpose of this job is to design, develop, and maintain a professional, user-friendly website that supports the goals of the School of Media and Communication. Career Readiness Competencies Set personal goals and track progress toward them. Take initiative to learn new tools, systems, or procedures on the job. Present ideas or updates in a clear and organized manner. Break down tasks into steps to complete work more efficiently. Learn new software or digital platforms as needed for your role. Design, develop, and maintain a professional website. Ensure the website is user-friendly, responsive, and compatible with multiple browsers and devices. Regularly update content, troubleshoot issues, and optimize site performance. Integrate multimedia content, including videos, images, and project related documents. Collaborate with faculty and staff to align the website with project goals. Implement security best practices to protect website data and user privacy.
Proficiency in front-end technologies:
HTML, CSS, JavaScript Knowledge of website hosting, domain management, and website security best practices, including SSL, secure logins, and data protection. Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines. Student must complete the online Adobe CMS & Web Accessibility training course
