Job Description

We're looking for a highly experienced Shopify developer to own the technical side of our ecommerce site during and after launch. We are using a prebuilt Shopify theme that has already been heavily customized, so experience working within and extending complex existing themes is critical. This is not a design role — this is a systems, debugging, and execution role. Scope of Work Maintain and extend a heavily customized Shopify theme Implement updates without breaking existing functionality Troubleshoot bugs, improve site performance, and support QA during launch Manage and debug app integrations Support Odoo integration (order flow, syncing, connector troubleshooting) Optimize UX elements that impact conversion rate Engagement Structure Freelance / contract to start Ongoing retainer for maintenance + optimization Estimated 5-15 hours per week (higher during launch windows) Ideal Candidate Deep experience with Shopify theme development (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS) Proven experience working in heavily customized or legacy Shopify themes Strong debugging skills across themes, apps, and integrations Experience with live ecommerce environments (not just builds) Understands conversion-focused
UX Bonus:
experience with Odoo or ERP integrations Critical Requirement You must be comfortable: Navigating and documenting existing custom code Making changes without introducing regressions Working in a structured way (staging, version control, QA)
