Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking experienced Java Backend Engineers to join a high-performing team supporting a leading financial services client. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java 8, Spring Boot, and Microservices/API development, with experience building scalable, resilient, and high-performing enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. Build and support Microservices and RESTful APIs for enterprise-scale applications. Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions. Develop clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices. Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA teams, and other developers throughout the software development lifecycle. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, ensuring system stability and performance. Contribute to CI/CD automation and deployment processes. Support Agile development practices and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications 7+ years of hands-on software development experience. Strong proficiency in Java 8 , including: Collections Framework Multithreading and Concurrency Stream API Functional Interfaces and Lambda Expressions Strong experience with Spring Boot . Experience designing and developing Microservices and REST APIs . Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns. Experience with source control tools such as Git. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Reactive Programming , preferably Vert.x . Hands-on experience with Kafka or other event-streaming platforms. Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines . Familiarity with GitHub Actions (GHA) . Experience working in cloud and distributed environments. Financial services domain experience is a plus.
