Front-End Web Developer

Turning Point for God is the broadcast ministry of Dr. David Jeremiah and exists to deliver the unchanging Word of God to an ever-changing world. Using Dr. Jeremiah's teaching, we capture, curate, and communicate Bible Strong content through the power of media to share the Gospel with theological and creative excellence. Position Summary:

The Front-End Web Developer works as an integral part of the Web Team. He/She is responsible for creating, maintaining, and documenting the front-end code that powers Turning Point's web sites and mobile apps. The specifications are determined by the Web Team or Creative Leadership based on the goals of the project.

Responsibilities:

Develop beautiful, user-friendly pages/features, and improve existing features in coordination with the Web & Mobile Apps Team, as well as stakeholders across the organization. Work with other developers to integrate deep organizational data into imaginative, unforgettable user experiences on the web. Own new projects, taking the lead when necessary to ensure a smooth development cycle from concept to implementation. Communicate project needs, changes, and updates clearly, concisely, and completely.

Qualifications and Experience:

1 to 5 years of web application development experience MUST have demonstrated proficiency in the following technologies: Object-oriented programming PHP (non-WordPress) JavaScript (jQuery experience preferred) Experience with third-party API integrations Experience creating back-end APIs Design and deployment of relational databases (MS SQL Server preferred) Demonstrated ability to work well within an agile development team structure

Preferred:

A keen eye for clean, front-end design, represented in a portfolio or links to past work Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems Other Position is full-time, non-exempt, Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm at Turning Point International Headquarters in Lakeside, CA. This is an hourly role. The salary range is $35.00- $44.00. The actual compensation offered will depend on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, skills, and location.
