Job Description
We are looking for a PHP Developer to join our client in Clearwater, Florida on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent position. This position will support the development of web-based products and internal platforms that serve a broad operational footprint, with a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and maintainable code. The role offers the opportunity to work across application development, API connectivity, and database-driven features while partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver practical technical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Create and enhance scalable PHP applications that support business-critical web platforms and digital services.
- Develop internal systems, user-facing portals, and API-driven features that connect with Android devices, IoT components, and live service environments.
- Partner with product, engineering, and operational stakeholders to deliver complete solutions from planning through implementation.
- Produce organized, secure, and reusable code that aligns with established development standards and long-term maintainability goals.
- Design and refine MySQL database structures, improve query performance, and support efficient data processing across applications.
- Contribute to peer code reviews and help shape technical direction by recommending sound architectural approaches and development practices.
- Support deployment and application performance efforts within Linux-based environments using tools such as NGINX or Apache when needed.
- Assist with real-time communication capabilities and modern development workflows, including containerized environments and WebSocket-based functionality.
