Shopify Specialist -HTML / SEO (IN-HOUSE not REMOTE)

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shopify Specialist to join our in-house team and drive the success of our e-commerce platform. This role is pivotal in managing, optimizing, and enhancing our Shopify store to deliver an exceptional shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background combined with a passion for web design, development, and e-commerce strategies. As a key player in our digital growth, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that boost sales, improve user engagement, and streamline operations. Responsibilities Manage and maintain the Shopify platform, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance. Customize themes and templates using HTML, CSS, SCSS, and JavaScript to align with brand standards and enhance user experience. Integrate third-party apps and develop custom functionalities using RESTful APIs and web services. Optimize site architecture for SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and visibility. Implement responsive web design principles to ensure compatibility across all devices. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create wireframes and user flows that enhance customer journey and engagement. Monitor site analytics, perform data visualization, and generate reports to inform strategic decisions. Coordinate with development teams on deploying updates using CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Jenkins, and version control systems like SVN. Ensure site security and stability through system architecture planning, server management (including AWS), and regular testing. Support front-end development efforts utilizing Angular, React, jQuery, Bootstrap, TypeScript, and other modern web technologies. Qualifications Shopify Liquid & Theme Development Shopify Ecosystem Knowledge & Problem Solving Proven experience working with Shopify platform management and customization. Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and responsive web design techniques. Familiarity with backend technologies such as PHP, Python, Ruby on Rails, or ASP.NET is a plus. Knowledge of database systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, SQLite for data management and integration tasks. Experience with DevOps tools like Docker, Ansible, Jenkins for deployment automation. Understanding of system architecture principles for scalable e-commerce solutions. Hands-on experience with web development frameworks such as Django or Ruby on Rails is advantageous. Ability to work within Agile methodologies using Trello or Jira for project management. Knowledge of SEO strategies and web services including SOAP and GraphQL APIs. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams.
