This role blends technical leadership with people management—ideal for a hands-on manager who can both guide engineering direction and grow a high-performing web development team. As Manager-Web, you will be accountable for the architecture, delivery, and operational excellence of our React-based applications. You will develop and manage a team of web engineers, fostering a culture of quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. With strong technical expertise and leadership skills, you will ensure our customer-facing platforms deliver world-class performance, security, accessibility, and reliability. Exposure to GitHub Copilot (or similar AI-powered developer tools) and Generative AI (GenAI) is a plus, particularly in driving team productivity and innovative customer experiences. This position is an onsite 80% role at the Atlanta Global Support Center. Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development Build, develop, and manage a team of web engineers, ensuring continuous growth, mentorship, and career development. Serve as a hands-on manager, balancing people management with technical contributions. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation across geo-distributed teams. Recruit, onboard, and retain top web engineering talent. Architecture & Systems Design Guide the architecture and evolution of React-based enterprise web applications with scalability, performance, and accessibility in mind.
Apply modern frontend patterns:
micro-frontends, component-driven architecture, state management (Redux, Zustand, Recoil), and server-side rendering (Next.js). Ensure best practices in responsive design, accessibility (WCAG 2.1), and internationalization. Drive secure integration with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL), identity management solutions (Auth0, Azure AD B2C), and observability platforms. Optimize global web performance through edge delivery and caching strategies. Explore opportunities to integrate GenAI-driven features such as personalization, conversational UI, and intelligent search. Delivery & Execution Provide leadership in delivery execution, ensuring projects meet business goals, timelines, and quality standards. Drive adoption of CI/CD practices (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), automated testing, and observability. Champion automation-first engineering and enforce high standards in performance and security. Establish coding standards, design system adoption, and enforce code review practices. Encourage the adoption of productivity tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding solutions. Collaboration & Influence Partner with backend, product, and design teams to align on technical roadmaps and release strategies. Facilitate cross-functional workshops, design reviews, and proof-of-concept initiatives. Influence decision-making across global teams, balancing business priorities with long-term sustainability. Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to identify and integrate GenAI use cases into web features. Qualifications 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 2+ years in an engineering management role. 4 Year Degree and/or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale React-based applications with global reach.
Strong hands-on expertise in:
React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 (SASS, Tailwind, CSS-in-JS). State management (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or equivalent). Frontend performance optimization and Core Web Vitals. Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, testing frameworks, and automation practices. Experience integrating with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL) and secure authentication solutions. Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted coding tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Generative AI applications in customer-facing web products. Familiarity with multi-brand or multi-tenant digital platforms. Knowledge of design systems (Storybook, Material UI, or similar). Experience with observability tools (Datadog, Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus). Strong communication skills to articulate technical trade-offs to both executives and engineers. Awareness of responsible AI practices (cost optimization, bias mitigation, governance).
