We're looking for a Website Developer who understands that modern websites are business tools designed to drive growth, conversions, user engagement, and measurable results. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, optimizing performance, and building websites that contribute directly to client success. You'll work closely with our content, advertising, creative, and account management teams to develop high-performing websites, landing pages, funnels, and digital experiences across a variety of industries and campaigns. This is not a passive "ticket completion" role. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, thinks strategically, communicates proactively, and continuously looks for ways to improve website performance, user experience, and operational efficiency. This role combines:
technical website development performance optimization UX awareness conversion-focused thinking operational execution We are looking for someone who understands how websites support: lead generation marketing campaigns search visibility conversion performance overall business growth This is not an entry-level role. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing website projects, troubleshooting technical issues proactively, and contributing strategically to website performance improvements. What You'll DoWebsite Development & Maintenance Develop, update, and maintain client websites Build landing pages, funnels, and campaign pages Ensure websites are responsive across all devices and browsers Implement website updates, integrations, and functionality improvements Maintain clean and organized website structures Performance Optimization Optimize websites for speed, UX, SEO, and conversions Improve technical website performance and discoverability Identify conversion opportunities and user experience improvements Monitor website functionality and recommend ongoing enhancements Troubleshoot bugs, errors, broken functionality, or performance issues Marketing & Tracking Integration Implement tracking pixels, forms, analytics, and integrations Support campaign landing page development Ensure websites align with marketing strategy and conversion goals Coordinate with advertising and content teams on campaign execution Quality Assurance & Operational Execution Thoroughly test websites before launch Maintain organized workflows, documentation, and task updates Communicate proactively when issues or delays arise Ensure operational standards and timelines are maintained Support ongoing optimization and improvement initiatives What Success Looks Like Success in this role means: building websites that are fast, stable, and conversion-focused solving technical issues proactively and efficiently improving website performance over time maintaining organized workflows and reliable communication contributing to measurable client growth supporting smooth cross-department execution consistently delivering high-quality work with minimal oversight Tools & Platforms You'll Work With You may work with platforms and systems including: WordPress Elementor Shopify WooCommerce ClickUp Google Workspace Google Tag Manager Google Analytics Cloudflare website hosting platforms CRM integrations automation tools landing page builders funnel platforms Experience with all platforms is not required, but strong adaptability is important. We're looking for someone who can demonstrate: experience building and managing websites understanding of conversion-focused website strategy understanding of SEO and technical optimization ability to troubleshoot issues independently understanding of user experience and website structure ability to improve website functionality and performance over time Preferred Experience (Bonus Points) Experience with the following is a plus: WordPress Elementor Shopify or WooCommerce HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or PHP conversion rate optimization (CRO) Google Tag Manager analytics integrations landing page development funnel development agency or multi-client environments ClickUp or similar project management systems Ideal Candidate Traits The ideal candidate: notices broken layouts and performance issues quickly thinks beyond simply completing tickets understands websites as business tools enjoys solving problems independently communicates proactively balances speed with quality takes ownership without being micromanaged thrives in collaborative environments wants to continuously improve systems and workflows Performance Expectations This role requires: reliable communication and responsiveness accountability for deadlines and deliverables proactive issue escalation organized project management accurate task and workflow updates ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously consistent attention to detail and quality assurance Compensation & Benefits Full-time position Compensation range: $65,000-$95,000 depending on experience, technical capability, and strategic contribution Opportunity for growth and advancement Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Location This is an in-person position based in Springfield, Illinois. Because this role involves collaborative development reviews, cross-department coordination, and fast operational execution, in-office collaboration is required. Relocation before the start date is required.
