Job Description

Front End .NET Developer Woven - 2.9 Carmel, IN Job Details Full-time $60,000 - $80,000 a year 5 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Project team coordination C# SQL Project management JavaScript Managing projects Technical project management SaaS Analytical thinking Status Reporting Full Job Description Front-End .NET Developer Seeking a Front-End Developer Who Sweats the Details Do you notice when a layout is two pixels off? Do you care as much about how a feature feels as whether it works? If words like curious, pragmatic, and resourceful describe you, keep reading. Woven is looking for a Developer who takes real pride in the user interface. You write real software, and you care that the people on the other side of the screen actually enjoy using it. We build with modern AI tools like Claude Code, and you should be comfortable working that way, but the craft comes first. This is a hands-on individual contributor role on our Product team, reporting to the CTO and working closely with our developers, Project Manager, and Head of Product. There is no minimum years-of-experience requirement. If you can show us you build polished, user-friendly interfaces, we want to talk.
Overview / Key
Responsibilities Product Development
  • Build and ship user-facing features, with a focus on the front-end and user interface.
  • Sweat the details: spacing, states, responsiveness, and the small interactions that make software feel good.
  • Work from specs provided by the Head of Product, collaborating with the Project Manager and CTO to turn them into working software.
  • Write code that is simple, maintainable, and consistent with how the rest of the team builds. User Experience
  • Champion the user. Notice friction in existing screens and propose improvements, not just new features.
  • Keep the interface consistent. Match existing patterns across the product so the whole app feels like one product, not a collection of pages. Modern Tooling
  • Use AI coding tools like Claude Code where they make you faster and better, from planning through review.
  • Build the small automations that speed up your own work and your teammates', and share what you learn. Quality and Craft
  • Listen to feedback, find root causes, and implement durable fixes rather than patches.
  • Seek simple solutions focused on long-term maintainability. About You You are a builder. You do your best work taking a clear spec and turning it into well-crafted, working software that people enjoy using.
  • You love the front-end. Polished interfaces are the part of the job you would do for free, and it shows in your work.
  • You have taste. You can tell when something is off by a shade or a few pixels, and you cannot leave it alone.
  • You thrive in spec-driven development. You take a spec from the Head of Product, ask sharp questions where it is ambiguous, and execute, rather than needing to define the work yourself.
  • You move with velocity. You measure yourself by working software shipped, and you use modern tools, including AI, to go from spec to deployed feature fast without trading away quality.
  • You are comfortable with AI coding tools and honest about what they are good at and what they are not. You can pick the right tool for the job, including the option of writing the code yourself.
  • You write clear, simple, maintainable code. You value consistency over cleverness.
  • You communicate with precision and respect. You ask good questions and give straight answers.
  • You take pride in your work and care that the right thing actually got delivered, not just that a ticket is closed. Qualifications No minimum years of experience required. We care more about how well you build and how you think.
  • Demonstrated ability to ship working software. Portfolio, prior commercial work, open source, or strong personal projects all count.
  • Strong front-end and UI skills (JavaScript, HTML, CSS), paired with experience on the .NET stack (C#, ASP.NET). You enjoy building polished, user-facing interfaces.
  • An eye for design. You do not need to be a designer, but you should care about layout, spacing, and visual consistency, and be able to talk about why an interface works or does not.
  • Comfort using AI coding tools as part of your workflow. We build with Claude Code; comparable experience with Copilot, Cursor, or similar translates.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative posture.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and modern development workflows. Bonus, not required:
  • Experience with Azure native services.
  • Experience working closely with designers, or building and maintaining a design system.
  • Experience customizing or extending developer tooling (custom Claude Code commands, skills, MCP servers, or similar).
