Frontend Developer

Description:

The ideal candidate will design and build responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces for Federal Government web applications. This role requires strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks, accessibility standards, and user-centered design principles . As a valued member of the SFI team, you will play a critical role in delivering mission-critical digital solutions to our Federal Government customers , helping create intuitive and effective user experiences for government systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop responsive, accessible web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js). Collaborate with UX designers to translate wireframes and prototypes into functional user interfaces. Ensure all frontend code meets Section 508 accessibility standards and

WCAG 2.1

guidelines. Optimize frontend application performance, including load times, rendering, and resource utilization. Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and data services. Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent user experiences. Participate in code reviews and enforce frontend development best practices. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field. 3 years of frontend development.

Demonstrated expertise in:

HTML/CSS/JavaScript, frontend frameworks, responsive design, user experience, accessibility. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.

Desired Skills:

AWS Certified Developer or equivalent cloud/frontend certification. Experience developing frontend applications for DoD or federal agency programs. Familiarity with design systems (e.g., U.S. Web Design System - USWDS). Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Selenium.

Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Work Environment:

Onsite/Hybrid/Remote as required by the contract. This is a full-time, W2 position. No agencies, third parties, or Corp-to-Corp submissions.
