Back End Developer

Description We are looking for an experienced Back End Developer to join our team on a 5-6 month contract basis. This position involves working with advanced technologies to support data migration and back-end integration efforts. The role is fully remote and requires a highly skilled individual with strong attention to detail, capable of leading Java-related development tasks while collaborating with teams using C++ and Python.

Responsibilities:

• Extract, clean, and transform data from existing Java-based systems to support migration processes.
• Lead the integration of data into a new Fusion application using C++ and Python.
• Act as the subject-matter expert for Java development and oversee all Java-related decisions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure smooth data flow and system interoperability.
• Use GitLab for version control and continuous integration workflows.
• Manage tasks and sprints effectively within Jira to meet project deadlines.
• Deliver reliable and high-quality back-end development solutions tailored to project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and government contracting standards. Requirements
• Extensive experience in Java development at a senior level.
• Proven expertise in data parsing, transformation, and back-end integration.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python for cross-application interaction.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab for version control and CI processes.
• Familiarity with Jira for Agile task management and workflow organization.
• Ability to work autonomously as the lead Java engineer on complex projects.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. to meet contracting regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address development challenges.
