This role involves designing and developing high-performance Python Fast APIs to provide access to critical weather datasets, supporting the delivery of vital weather information to millions. Location Remote (Local to D.C. Metro Area for possible meetings at Silver Spring office) Clearance Needed U.S. citizenship or permanent residence; ability to secure and maintain a Public Trust clearance as required

Responsibilities:

Design and develop high-performance Python Fast APIs Enable seamless access to datasets such as Radar, Satellite, and Numerical Weather Models Collaborate with team members in an Agile environment Contribute to the development of enterprise-grade data solutions

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of professional experience or an equivalent Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in FastAPI Familiarity with RESTful web services and source control management tools like Git Experience with build automation systems such as Jenkins or Hudson Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to Agile methodologies Nice to

Experience working within Agile development environments Knowledge of JIRA for project management Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit

Salary Range:

$80K- $120K Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
