Position Description:
The JavaScript Developer is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring applications.
Minimum/General Experience:
5 years of JavaScript development experience
Minimum Education:
Bachelors' Degree in computer science or a related field
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
Excellent proficiency in JavaScript development
Above average proficiency in TypeScript development
Above average proficiency with the React 18 framework
Above average proficiency with GitHub for source control
Above average proficiency with Prometheus for monitoring and logging
Experience with Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline configurations and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Harness, Nexus, SonarQube, HashiCorp Vault)
Ability to monitor dashboards (e.g., Grafana) for tracking system health and key metrics
Experience with container images and GOLD image promotion pipelines
Experience working in an Agile methodology development environment
Experience supporting a federal agency
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent ability to work effectively in a team and with clients
Experience supporting development in a healthcare environment (preferred)
General Physical Requirements needed to perform the essential functions of this job may vary based on the location of the assignment.
Assignment Location - Remote
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Typing, communicating, repetitive motions.
Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, view computer monitors and read. May need to view presentation screens and other visual aids in a virtual setting.
Inside environmental conditions with protection from outside elements.
Security:
Ability to obtain/maintain a Federal Civilian Public Trust
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident that has lived in the United States for at least 3 years

DOD Defense Central Investigations Index (DCII)

Acceptable Credentials
Tasks/activities include, but are not limited to:
Designs, builds, and maintains efficient and reliable JavaScript code using React 18
Supports and designs applications with TypeScript
Deploys applications using Docker containers and manages them using Kubernetes
Supports containerization efforts, including building, testing, and promoting container images
Designs and develops RESTful APIs and integrates with third-party services
Collaborates in building CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing
Performs code reviews and defect resolution
Monitors and evaluates metrics using Prometheus and Grafana dashboards
Collaborates with other developers, testers, and other members of the software development team
Maintains clear and concise documentation
Compensation & Benefits:
The annual projected pay range for this position is $89,759.00 - $117,910.00 with consideration being given to various factors including but not limited to qualifications, experience, job responsibilities, and geographic location.
