Job Description A Higher Education client of Insight Global is seeking a Senior Web Content Developer / Editor to support the School of Medicine Information Services Web Team in delivering high-quality, accessible, and well-managed web content across multiple departments. This individual will serve as a key contributor responsible for managing and updating website content within a CMS environment, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with established content standards while partnering closely with stakeholders to gather, review, and publish content that meets both organizational and user needs. This role will support front-end web development, management, and editing through Sitefinity CMS. This position will also support ongoing site enhancements by working with templates, layouts, and basic code updates (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), troubleshooting issues, implementing fixes, and building out pages within the CMS, including determining layout, structure, and content presentation. The Web Content Developer / Editor will also manage and prioritize incoming ticket requests, ensuring timely updates and responsiveness to stakeholder needs. Additionally, this individual will monitor website performance and user engagement, support accessibility compliance efforts (WCAG), and identify opportunities to improve overall usability, performance, and content effectiveness. This role requires consistent collaboration with internal departments to scope content, communicate timelines, participate in planning and review sessions, and ensure alignment across projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable balancing content management, technical support, and stakeholder communication in a dynamic environment. This position is a 6 month contract role with possibility of extensions and/or conversion, and can pay between $40-45/hour with medical benefits and 401k options offered on contract. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree)
- Professional experience in web content management, digital operations, or a related role
- Experience working with web content management systems (e.g. Sitefinity or similar CMS platforms)
- Experience creating, editing, and publishing web content using HTML and CSS
- Experience managing or supporting multiple website or departments in a service-oriented environment
- Experience with website accessibility standards (WCAG) and usability best practices
- Familiarity with website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) and interpreting performance data
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver web content solutions
- Experience with front-end web technologies (e.g. JavaScript's) or support basic web enhancements
- Experience with SharePoint or similar enterprise content platforms
