Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Technical Lead, Full Stack for a direct hire opportunity with a growing organization in the insurance technology space. This is a high-impact leadership role for a seasoned full stack engineering professional who can architect, build, and scale cloud-native applications while guiding a distributed engineering team. The Technical Lead, Full Stack will work across backend services, React frontends, AWS infrastructure, APIs, databases, and modern software delivery practices. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys staying hands-on technically while also mentoring engineers, influencing architecture, partnering with product stakeholders, and driving delivery excellence. This opportunity offers strong compensation, performance-based bonus potential, and the chance to lead a team of 8 or more engineers across the U.S. and India. Candidates can expect a collaborative product engineering environment with supportive leadership, cross-functional teamwork, and meaningful opportunities to shape technical strategy, improve engineering standards, and contribute to scalable production systems. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, architecture, and development of full stack applications, APIs, backend services, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Collaborate with product, business operations, customer stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business needs into scalable software solutions.
  • Develop responsive, user-friendly React interfaces using modern JavaScript and TypeScript practices.
  • Build robust backend services using Java, Scala, or Kotlin with Spring Boot and strong automated test coverage.
  • Architect, maintain, and optimize AWS-based cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, relational databases, and microservices.
  • Mentor junior engineers, lead code reviews, maintain engineering standards, and contribute to technical decision-making. Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $150,000 to $175,000 per year.
  • Bonus potential: 20 percent based on company and individual performance.
  • Employment type: Direct hire.
  • Work arrangement: Hybrid from the Lake Mary, FL office, with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.
  • Location:
    Osteen, FL area.
  • Reports to: Product Engineering leadership.
