Job Description
The Office of School Health (OSH) within the Division of Family and Child Health (DFCH) is a joint Program of the Department of Education (DOE) and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) responsible for promoting the health of over 1.3 million school children enrolled in approximately 1,800 public and non-public schools in the New York City. Services to students include case management of chronic health problems, preventive health screening, urgent care, medication administration, preventive counseling, health education, referral for care and assurance of ongoing effective treatment. The Office of Field Operations supports the coordination and implementation of services.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO
- Integrate the DOH School Health electronic health record system with Dept of Education's related services system.
- Create new modules in the electronic health record system to meet business needs.
- Improve data management systems and applications to meet emergent business needs.
- Engage on special projects to meet emergent business needs.
- Contribute to integration of OSH data systems with external health agency systems
