Job Description
Job Description What You'll Be Doing Top Floor is looking for a Web Developer to join our growing team and play a key role in building high-performing, conversion-focused websites for B2B manufacturers and industrial companies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of development, UX, and performance—someone who can take a design system and turn it into a fast, scalable, and easy-to-manage website that drives real business outcomes. You'll work closely with our design, SEO, and strategy teams to bring sites to life—from initial build through launch and beyond. Your everyday tasks may look like:
Developing custom websites using a modular, component-based theme framework
Translating Figma design systems and prototypes into responsive, production-ready builds
Building and maintaining flexible content structures using custom fields and dynamic templates
Customizing and extending page builder environments for scalable, reusable layouts
Collaborating in design-to-development handoffs to ensure accuracy and feasibility
Implementing integrations with third-party platforms, CRMs, and marketing tools
Supporting eCommerce functionality, including product structures, carts, and checkout flows
Optimizing for performance, SEO/AEO, accessibility, and Core Web Vitals
Managing deployments across dev, test, and live environments
Executing QA processes across browsers and devices prior to launch
Troubleshooting issues, debugging code, and continuously improving site performance
Leveraging AI tools to accelerate development, testing, and problem-solving
Job Requirements Who We're Looking For Required Technical Skills
Strong experience working within the WordPress ecosystem and the Visual Builder frameworks (Divi/Gutenberg/etc.)
Deep experience creating custom themes and flexible content architectures using Advanced Custom Fields and custom development
Experience building fully custom page templates, modules, and reusable components
Experience launching websites across staging and production environments
Familiarity with modern hosting platforms and deployment workflows
Strong understanding of responsive development, cross-browser compatibility, and QA processes
Experience using AI tools to improve development efficiency and output
Strong proficiency in PHP for theme and custom functionality development
Solid experience with JavaScript (including modern ES6+ syntax) for interactive UI and front-end behavior
Advanced knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 (including Flexbox, Grid, and responsive design best practices) Required Soft Skills
Strong, clear communication and writing skills
