Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Web Proxy and Firewall technologies in a large-scale enterprise environment. This role will play a critical part in supporting a major network separation/divestiture initiative , ensuring secure, seamless, and compliant transition of services. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise in enterprise firewall platforms and web proxy solutions, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams. Mandatory Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with enterprise-grade Firewall platforms such as: Palo Alto Networks Check Point Cisco ASA / Firepower (FTD) Practical experience with Web Proxy solutions , including: Zscaler Forcepoint / Websense Blue Coat / Symantec ProxySG Solid understanding of network protocols and security concepts :

TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS

VPNs, NAT, IDS/IPS, Load Balancing Proven ability to: Analyze network traffic and logs Troubleshoot complex connectivity and security issues Optimize firewall and proxy performance Experience with firewall rule design, web proxy policy creation, and maintenance Exposure to network segmentation, ACL migrations, and access control strategies Scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell) for automation is a plus Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills Ability to work both independently as an SME and collaboratively within large technical teams

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field 3-5 years of experience in Network Security Engineering 2-3 years of hands-on experience managing Web Proxy and Firewall solutions in an enterprise setup Proven experience acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Preferred Certifications (nice to have): CCNA Security PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks)

CCSA / CCSE
