As a Senior Backend Engineer, with an emphasis on
API & AI
Integrations, you will play a critical role in developing, scaling, and maintaining the backend systems that power OxeFit's innovative fitness technology ecosystem, including OxeAI. This position is responsible for designing secure, scalable APIs, integrating AI-driven services, and building cloud-native solutions that enable seamless interactions between software platforms, fitness equipment, mobile applications, and enterprise partners. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including AI, Product, Mobile, Embedded Systems, and Customer Experience to deliver high-quality backend services that support the future of intelligent fitness.
Essential Functions:
Design, develop document, and maintain secure, scalable APIs and backend services supporting OxeAI and OxeFit products Build and manage integrations between AI platforms, internal applications, third-party systems, and connected fitness technologies Develop backend applications using C#, .
NET, ASP.NET
Core, Python, and modern software engineering best practices Design and optimize data models, databases, and service architectures to support high-volume, real-time user interactions Collaborate with AI and machine learning teams to integrate intelligent features into customer-facing products Develop and maintain cloud-native services within Azure environments Build and support event-driven architectures utilizing messaging platforms Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and performance testing strategies Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using tools such as Docker, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar technologies Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and proactively identify opportunities for optimization
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant backend development experience Strong proficiency in C#, .
NET, ASP.NET
