Job Description

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Engineer to design and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems within a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, API development, database engineering, and CI/CD automation.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop backend applications using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot Build and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices Develop and optimize Oracle/DB2 databases, PL/SQL, and transactional SQL Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and deployment automation tools Collaborate with DevOps teams on monitoring, resiliency, and release management Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing Troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvements Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
Required Skills:
6+ years of experience in Java development Strong experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot Hands-on experience building REST APIs and Microservices Strong knowledge of Oracle or DB2 databases Experience with PL/SQL and transactional SQL Experience with Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, and CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with DevOps tools and deployment automation Strong problem-solving and communication skills Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Preferred Skills:
Financial Services or Asset Management domain experience Exposure to Alternative Investments, Derivatives, Private Equity, or Liquid Alternatives Experience working with stakeholders and leading technical discussions
